Week 46: So much happens every day.

Hello world!
So this week has been eventful, with transfers and helping the missionaries that have finished go home (we gave rides, etc and it was super sad to say goodbye! 😔☹) on Tuesday, and then picking up our new missionary on Wednesday and setting up exchanges for this next transfer, etc- but, amid all the chaos, we've had a lot of little miracles, too!

We saw one of our investigators, Betty, at Walmart when we were shopping and it turned out her son was in town so she had to cancel our appointment we had scheduled for that day, but we were able to set up another one for this weekend. So, on Saturday we went over and were able to talk with her more about the gospel of Jesus Christ and it was a good lesson. Then, we had another appointment with Jacob and Tyler, the boys whose dad told us he wants us to teach them at church last Sunday, and we were able to set a date with them that they can prepare themselves to be baptized on (August 18th)! So, that was super exciting! 😁
And it was nice for Sister Adams to be able to extend that baptismal invitation on her third day in the field- she was pretty excited (and we all are for them- they're sweet boys 😊).

Also, when you get a new missionary you take them out tracting the next day for at least an hour in our mission- so, we went and tracted President Sorensen's street (because we thought it'd be funny for him to answer and we had it all planned out with them and everything- but they had to go somewhere so they weren't home when we went sadly), and we met a man who opened the door only enough for us to hear him shout, "I know why you're hear- and I don't want it!" Then he closed the door.. it was funny.
Later that day, we also contacted a kid who was YSA age and the whole time we were talking to him he was hiding behind the door so that you could only see one of his eyes poking out, so that was an interesting conversation too.. 😅😂
But, it was a fun week and a lot of other random things happened too but that's all that I can really think of for now. We have a lot of appointments set up for this next week so hopefully it's a good one! We'll see! 😁😉

Until next time,
Sister Wilcox

P.S. Here's a picture of Sister Hood (Sister Millington's greenie), Sister Millington (my MTC comp and Sister Sanders' greenie back in the day), Sister Sanders, Sisters Adams (Sister Sanders' and I's greenie together), me, Sister Bradshaw (my other greenie back in the day), and Sister Brooks (Sister Bradshaw's greenie).... complicated, right? 😁🤔😊

And Sister Sanders and I at Walmart lol
